We are currently looking to fill an opening for a Financial Developer in our Chicago office.

General Responsibilities:

Candidate will be responsible for the analysis and development of portfolio performance, risk and other portfolio analytics as a part of Spectrum’s proprietary software system used in Hedge Fund Administration and reporting. The candidate will be responsible for designing databases to warehouse market data to be used in portfolio analytics. The candidate will also be responsible for designing and creating portfolio analytics reports and making them available to Spectrum’s customers via various platforms including Salesforce.com

Skill Set:

• Candidate should have at least 5 years experience within the financial services sector with emphasis in software/services dealing with securities, portfolios analytics, risk, P&L computation and accounting
• Candidate should be familiar with many of the major investment product classes – equities, debt, options, futures and financing.
• Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Candidate should have ability to interact with end-users, communicate tasks to staff, and discuss tactical/strategic issues with management.
• Candidate should have prior experience as a development team lead, providing direction and mentoring to junior developers.
• Candidate should have at least an undergraduate degree in a quantitative field.
• Candidate should be a self starter with high levels of energy, ambition and motivation.
• Visual Basic, .Net, C#, SQL, MSSQL Server, Web Services, Scripting Languages, Excel & VBA
