Job Description:
Applied Perception, a fast growing robotics company, is searching for new hires. We have recently begun a number of new programs and technology development efforts, and are hiring to fill positions available in these programs. You have to like getting your hands dirty and be self-motivated. Being a “gadget-freak” doesn’t hurt either, since you’ll have the opportunity to work with lots of cool toys.
Applied Perception develops software and hardware for robots and unmanned ground vehicles. We work with a wide variety of robots, from small, man portable robots to robots that can run over cars. Our core need right now is for recently graduated students with Masters or Bachelors Degrees in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering. In all cases, excellent computer programming skills are necessary, along with a desire and aptitude for practical, applied work. Prior experience in working with mobile robots is strongly preferred.
Requirements:
US Citizenship or Green Card Holder
B.S./M.S. Degree in CS, EE, CompEng, ME.
Necessary Skills:
Strong programming ability in C/C++ using the g++ toolchain, a high level of familiarity with Linux, ability to think analytically and solve problems independently.
Bonus Skills: A background in robotics, familiarity and experience with mobile robots. Computer vision experience, applied mathematics experience, familiarity with graphical tool sets (Qt).
